JENNIFER PARKFORD
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Being human isn't easy. It can be awkward, terrifying, beautiful, exciting, and bewildering. But most of all, it requires us to grow. And growth, by its very nature, can be wildly uncomfortable. And then there are the life transitions that coincide with growth such as: starting or ending a relationship, navigating pregnancy and parenthood, exploring your sexuality, grieving the loss of a loved one, changing careers, quitting toxic habits or addictions, separating or divorcing from a partner, or starting over in a new city --- to name a few.
These transitions are hard enough. Don't go through them alone.

Therapy is a relationship, journey, and process. It can become a safe space for you to challenge lifelong patterns, address age-old wounds and traumas, and create a deeper, more compassionate sense of self. Drawing from evidence-based and existential approaches, I utilize direct feedback, humor, metaphors, and visualizations to explore relational attachments and family roles, unhelpful emotional or behavioral patterns, and core beliefs. In essence, I strive to provide a warm and challenging environment to discover, process, and practice new ways of being.
